These talking shoes

Have you ever wondered whose journey you’re stepping into when you try on a pair of shoes? Not something you commonly think about, right? As I sat waiting to see the Podiatrist, I saw these shoes in the lobby and it hits me, “if shoes could actually talk, what would be the story?”

Just think about it for a minute, we rush to buy a pair of shoes without giving a conscious thought of the last journey of the person that stepped into them. What was the journey like for that individual: Was it depressive, grief stricken, disappointment, hopelessness or sheer happiness and excitement? Could you’ve weathered their journey or your own for that matter. For some, we wear it quite well. But, for the majority, we learn to dress it up a bit with the fashion of the season.

With every occasion, there’s always a change of shoes. Regardless, if you’re stepping high in a pair of Red Bottoms or Payless flats, you need to own that platform of faith.55c1050a-51b5-45dd-bd91-5698a9d8caaf Trampling over and defeating the enemy’s tactics of purposely trying to discourage your walk by placing the very thing that you feared the most; fear itself. At least, that’s what he thought.

Maybe the enemy forgot who owns you and that “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 Power from on high to Captivate and Clinch every rain dropped tear until it’s turned into rivers of flowing faith. Unwavering Power to love unconditionally and the Perservering Power of a sound mind to know the difference of what is or what is not.

Walk a mile in someone else’s shoes and you’ll see, things just didn’t happened, but it might’ve been their assigned appointment. Many say, “the steps we avoid are usually the ones that lead us to our destiny.” Lessons or blessings, you make the choice. As for me, I’ve had them both to serve as a road map. With every stepped traveled, came with renewed strength and courage. Along with the opportunity for my silent thunder to come roaring with a new perspective of choices in life.

So, why not take that step of faith? In doing so, walk the walk that’s before you like none other. Skip and even strut if you must, but never ever forget what’s inside that purchase, no matter what!

A Journey of unlimited miles

Blog: A Journey of Unlimited Miles

Last call for Flight 328. The final destination to a place call HEAVEN. Unknowing to us, you purchased your ticket many months in advance for a journey with unlimited miles of true happiness, peace and love. I can hear you in my heart saying, “don’t worry, some journeys can on only be traveled alone. Plus, you know me, I’m never alone. I’m with the one who loves me best and has brought me home.” So, I will always keep and cherish the memories you and I shared. Thank you my beloved sister for your courageous fireball strength and your faith in serving our God.

The life you lived truly exhibits that of a great Conqueror who lived life to the fullest and withholding nothing back! Oh, how well was this done through your many experiences; some good and some bad, but you owned everyone of them without fear. And yes, I too learned and took advantage from those experiences to always “Live and let live”….which was your strong suit. A lesson on pursing life to the fullest has been well received and I vow to live by it.3e481a67-2bf6-4734-a29a-df202c12c595

Fearful to Fearless can be as simple as making one small move in the right direction. Or shall I say, the direction God desires that you go. No, it isn’t always easy, but you must challenge yourself to take chances on your vision of greatness. While in your pursuit, I urge you to be prayerful on your journey, knowing that sometimes, what you envision as a good road isn’t always the route God has for you to travel. Sometimes, he’ll take you through the scenic route for you to sightsee, but sometimes it’s purely for the sake of others to view your strength/journey.

I’ll end my first blog with this quote, “you don’t choose the day you enter this world and you don’t choose the day you leave. It’s what you do in between that makes all the difference.” ~Anita Septimus
